Our Programs
Kiwimbi Annual Meeting
In December 2023, Kiwimbi hosted our Annual Meeting. Rebecca Toto, Board Chair of Kiwimbi Kenya, was present and led the meeting. The invited guests included students as well as the stakeholders and friends of Kiwimbi who have benefited in one way or the other from Kiwimbi's services. Others present were those who have contributed to the progress of Kiwimbi and the development of our programs.
Kiwimbi's staff welcomed all those present with a traditional Teso song accompanied by traditional Teso dancing. Enjoy the video and feel welcomed by the staff!
The presenters provided updates to those in attendance about Kiwimbi's major departments including the vocational programs of Tailoring (Teso Women's Sustainable Sewing Project-TWSSP) and Carpentry, the Agronomy program fostering tree planting and kitchen garden instructions. In-depth information was shared about Prep for Success, our grade 8 program that includes Food For Thought, our daily lunch program. Conversation included the extent to which each of the departments has brought impact to the local community and how much investment has been put forth to sustain the excellence of these departments.
